When we made the statement, "summer is not the best time to test a system because of the volatility of the market", we did not anticipate such a combination of dramatic events. First, there was the issue of the US AAA debt rating cut for the first time in its history by the rating agency Standard & Poor's which instilled much apprehension for weeks in the markets. During this time we had central bank currency interventions by Swiss and Japanese central banks. Next, followed the downgrading of the US triple AAA rating and more recently talk of the Swiss contemplating the pegging of the CHF, a move they have not considered since 1973. All this bundled in a dramatic development of a possible recession in the heels of world economic slowdown tempered by sovereign debt issues in Europe provided for extremely unstable and very unpredictable market conditions. On our part we are not looking to make excuses; despite the historic market fluctuations, our system has not performed well. Having said that, we ask anyone who is serious about Forex to look closely what our system had managed to do in the past month:
1- It has maintained a solid "safe" low drawdown.
2- If you eliminated FxDD and IBFX broker, a number of accounts actually had small gains despite the unprecedented market turbulence we have described.
3- Our system has generated AT LEAST five percent (5%) per month and more in the past ( over 70%/ year) and will do so as soon as there is some market stability.
Our recommendation:
Continue with demo testing for an additional month. If you have used FxDD or IBFX we strongly recommend trying some other broker which has reasonable spreads: For instance, Forex Verified a staunch supporter of FxDD in the past, has decided to drop FxDD altogether because of their high pip spreads; our system works well with stable "reasonable" pip spreads during active markets. If you would like to continue demo trading with your existing account, please respond back with the word, CONTINUE. If you wish to begin a new with a different broker open a new account and send us the Broker's name (preferably Mt4 download link), the account number and account password. If you do not want to continue with us, please respond back with END TRIAL; we thank you for your participation.
